I am very close to reaching my dreams of traveling around the world and this wait is killing me. I am all set to kickstart my new job and mentally prepared to welcome the massive change of moving out of the country and here I am, waiting for the date of joining. I was supposed to join last month on the 28th, however, given the circumstances and the status of my passport, I am on a longer wait now.
One of the changes that took place in my life last week was getting relieved from my previous employer. It is a sigh of relief to say good bye to a job that you never really enjoyed. That is a plus ! The minus side of it is the fact of being jobless. I have been vegetating off-late. Reading books, watching series, playing games and getting glued to the idiot box.
Speaking of books, I have to mention that my fascination with the TV series "Game of Thrones" has pushed me to buy George R R Martin's third book in the series - A Storm of Swords. I couldn't contain the excitement of knowing what is to follow in season 3, which unfortunately is only going to air next year. The language is very much old English and there are still terms I struggle to understand. The book, in addition, is more detailed with in-depth narration of the story. Sadly most of which is missed out in the series. I, honestly, don't know how long It'll take me to finish this one, given my infamous trait of never being able to finish reading a book.
Something else that I have been doing as an extra curricular activity is doing priced Tarot readings for people. A friend helped me get some publicity on the social demon site - Facebook (Nah ! I love it !) and It felt great to read for my second client/querent this Monday. Tarot is a wonderful tool and there is a very long way that I have to tread when It comes to Its enigmatic understanding.
In the meantime, I am spending time waiting to hear from Qatar airways about my joining date, which is killing me. I am hoping to leave within August and not have this prolonged till September. That would be a total bummer. I am sad about the fact that I have not been able to give enough time to my photography learning. Staying inbound all day is not going to help and living in Bangalore is not going to inspire me any further.
